A molecular Switch that makes people age- identified

A breakthrough discovery by the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) has identified a molecular switch that has the capacity to “turn-off” a number of protective cellular processes against aging and metabolic diseases. This discovery was made in the process of understanding why certain people who are older, obese or over-weight tend to develop metabolic disorders like high blood glucose, high cholesterol, insulin resistance, fatty liver, and increased abdominal fat. All these metabolic disorders have the potential to lead to type-2 Diabetes, heart diseases and even cancer.

Though more research is required to validate the claim, but this discovery undoubtedly opens the doors for new drug treatment to slow down the development of metabolic disorders.
